As students come from far-flung places in the district to avail of the educational facilities offered by BKDKM, a hostel becomes an important necessity for such students.
Hostel living also inculcates the values of co-operation and discipline; and saves valuable energy and time (otherwise spent in commuting) which can be dedicated to studying. To cater to this need, BKDKM constructed a boys’ hostel with a donation received in the name of Late Shri Galbabhai N. Patel.
Every year 39 students are accommodated in this hostel. However, there is an urgent need to augment the facilities to be able to cater to an additional 80 students at least; which can be done by adding a floor to the existing hostel building.
Computer-based audiovisual equipment is often used in education with projection equipment and interactive whiteboard technology. There are many uses of audio-visual methods for teaching in the current era.
BKDKM has established this centre with a donation from the family of Smt. Leelaben Chimanlal Parikh. Most of all the colleges on campus, as well as other educational institutions, banks and other social mandals use this hall and its facilities for their classes and programmes.
